This post is intended for you to get to know me better and see what is behind my jewellery experience.
I arrived to Sydney, Australia 13 years ago and I came because I found true love and married the love of my life a Persian Aussie after I spent 10 wonderful magnificent years in Florence, Italy. You might think I am Italian but in a way is true but the fact of the matter that I was born in Venezuela and also after graduating in High School I spent sometime in America having a working and studying english experience until i finally completed my Engineered background in Venezuela. But this was not enough for me as I always thought there's is more and more to explore. Certainly is!
I unexpectedly prior to finalising my engineer degree decided that I wanted to pursue a different career studying jewellery design and in google search, came across a very unique contemporary jewellery school called Alchimia. I started my journey as a goldsmith there and was introduced to the contemporary art movement. I am very grateful for all the incredible knowledge I acquire in the school but also I decided to stay in Italy and fortunately with my engineered background i enrolled for a Master in Multimedia Internet Engineering in the University of Florence (UNIFI).
Living in Florence is an experience unlike no other. The quality of life is very high. Is an easy going and inspiring city. There’s always something to discover and to learn. It’s a city full of history and art not only from the Renaissance but even from Etruscan times. I have discovered amazing jewellery history and experienced that so close having the opportunity to share the lab with jewellers who works for Pontevecchio shops famous for recreating and repairing antique jewellery pieces. Master jewellers of different fields like enamel, chasing repousse. I was so blessed being awarded by the Italian government a scholarship to study gemmology and stone setting in the fantastic tuscan city of Luca and that was the turn around of my jewellery career. Also I did some short courses in another wonderful jewellery school called "Le arti orafe" where I met the director and owner Gio Carbone and that was a remarkable moment of my experience.
The location is one of the best for Europe and for Italy I could reached easily any destination. The pleasures of tasting excellent fresh food and wine are also one of the best parts of living in Florence. I have a list of traditional places where you can delight yourself for hour with the best wines and Tuscan specialties which mainly are of simple tradition. You can contact me for that as well if you are planning to go to Firenze. <3
Tuscany is an alluring and enchanting region and I loved living in Florence. I could keep going on and on.
As you can realise I had an extensive enriched life in Florence and that shaped my signature collection: "The Firenze Ring"
